If someone is doing something wrong and denying it. It’s okay to request that they be honest. Let them know that you’re not going to hurt them. That you just want the truth.

If they open up and it turns out you were right, then try and reassure them that the behavior is unacceptable but that you aren’t going to hurt them about it.

However, rubbing it in their face and telling them to go kill themselves is not okay. Do not fucking go their or they could do it. I’m smart enough and have built walls to take these kinds of hits, but others are not like me. They could kill themselves that night because you didn’t take the right course of action in trying to teach them rather than spitting on them.

Hmmm, well I agree to your overall statement of not being a horrible person and telling others to kill themselves, that is never acceptable, no matter what the situation.

But I have to say, it makes a difference for me, if someone did something wrong by accident or in the full knowledge of what they did wasn't right. (Example: Breaking something on accident vs. stealing something.) I'd want to know why and what would need to change so they wouldn't do it again. If you just say "it's okay, I forgive you", then the behaviour isn't really changed. You need to talk it through. If the person that did something wrong does not fully comprehend what exactly the issue was, then they will not learn from it. Maybe they think "Oh, Shin was disappointed from me, I shouldn't steal from them again, but hey, I can steal from XY". If you really care about someone learning from a mistake, you can't just be sweet and forgiving and saying it's okay. You need to get to the core.

My point is that you shouldn’t tell someone that their disgusting and to go kill themselves for making a mistake. Whatever method is used for teaching is better than just giving up on the person, right?
